The procedure will be as follows:

  1. Services will book training through a PHECC registered FAR trainer using either www.phecit.ie or this  list of trainers
  2. A member/members of staff will complete the FAR training course (full training or refresher depending on their requirements)
  3. Services will pay the registered Far trainer for the course.

Once the course is completed:

  1. Providers may apply for reimbursement of payment for 1 staff member to the maximum of €225 for 3 day course or €175 for 2 day refresher course
  2. In order to apply for reimbursement the provider must submit the following to elizabeth@southdublinchildcare.ie

(b) Copy of receipt

(c) Copy of certificate

(all 3 items must be attached to the email)

As you will see from the communication , reimbursement will be made quarterly on specific dates. There will be no payments made outside the payment schedule.

Please be advised there are significant variances in the prices charged by different providers however maximum reimbursement amounts apply. It is up to the services to find a trainer who offers the training within the maximum reimbursement price range or alternatively providers can choose to fund part of the course themselves. Once the service has claimed for one staff member no further reimbursement applications will be accepted from that service.
