AIM Support Worker required in Lucan

Spraoi Montessori Lucan  are recruiting an AIM Support Teacher.

This position is subject to Garda Vetting. 

Hours of work are 1pm – 4pm Monday to Friday. 

The candiate should be kind, caring and fun and is someone who enjoys working as part of a busy friendly team. A good knowledge of the Aistear & Siolta curriculum and associated monthly reporting would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided. 

Have a minimum Level 5 QQI qualification in Childcare.

Job Purpose

The NCS & Compliance Administrator manages financial processes related to the National Childcare Scheme (NCS), ensuring the accurate and timely processing of claims. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication, and a solid understanding of childcare and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage NCS claims, keeping them up to date.
  • Monitor attendance and compliance, communicating with parents as needed.
  • Handle underattendance issues with parents and Pobal.
  • Ensure compliance with Pobal and maintain up-to-date compliance folders for all services.
  • Manage service calendars, fee tables, and parent statements.
  • Process ECCE registrations.
  • Conduct internal audits within services, reporting and addressing issues.
  • Act as point of contact for Pobal inspectors and train staff on Pobal inspections.
  • Support Finance and HR with admin tasks during busy periods.

Record Keeping and Provider Support

  • Maintain accurate records of all NCS financial transactions, ensuring secure storage for audits.
  • Assist parents with NCS claim issues, resolving payment concerns with Pobal.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to Tusla, Pobal, and NCS financial regulations.
  • Generate reports for internal management and external stakeholders, addressing any discrepancies.

Liaison with Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve payment processes.
  • Liaise with Pobal and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) for compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

Auditing and Reconciliation

  • Assist in audits and regularly reconcile payment records with financial statements.

 

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
  • Knowledge of financial administration and payment processing.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with parents, internal teams, and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and financial management software.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Qualification in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in financial administration, accounts payable, or working with childcare providers/government schemes is an advantage.
