Early Years Educators Required

StartBright Bawnogue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22

StartBright Bawnogue are currently looking to fill two positions

1 x Educator – 35 hours/52 Weeks

1 x Relief Educator 20 -35 Hours

Applications are being sought from suitably qualified and experienced people for the role of Early Years Educators at our StartBright Bawnogue centre, located in Clondalkin.

We require a dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic individuals who are quality driven and have a child focused approach to early childhood education.

All applicants must have a minimum qualification of FETAC level 6 in Childcare.

Experience in an early years setting is essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  •          A sound working knowledge of Síolta & Aistear
  •          An inclusive approach to practice
  •          Knowledge of the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) (Registration of School Age Services) Regulations 2018
  •          An understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework and of all aspects of operating a quality early years environment required understanding and knowledge
  •          A good knowledge and understanding of child protection and the duties and responsibilities under Children First
  •          A good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation
  •          Experience of working with parents as partners
  •          A flexible approach to their work
  •          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  •          An ability to work in partnership with other Educators
  •          Prepared to complete a Garda Vetting form and additional mandatory training required for the role
  •          Be naturally warm and respectful towards children & their needs

Early Years Educators (Full & Part Time)

Wombles Crèche, 8 Old Bawn Road, Tallaght, Dublin.

The Wombles Creche are currently recruiting for Early Years Educators (Full & Part Time) who will be caring for children from 6 months upwards. 

They are looking for a candidate who will:

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy environment for the health, welfare, and development of the children.
  • Actively engage the children in developmentally appropriate learning activities through the Aistear curriculum to facilitate the potential development of each child.
  • To communicate effectively with children, families, and staff alike.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A sincere and genuine love for children.
  • Childcare Qualification as listed on the DCEDIY recognised Childcare Qualifications to minimum Level 5 from a recognised body.
  • Knowledge of working with Siolta and Aistear.
  • First Aid, Manual Handling and Food Safety Certified an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Full Time Hrs: 35h + per week

Part Time: Afternoons

Childcare Professional

Happy Days Creche are looking for an enthusiastic childcare professional to join our dynamic and busy crèche based in Walkinstown. Due to high demand for places they are looking to expand their staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children of all ages and be looking to become a valued member of their close knit team. Experience working in a busy full day care environment a benefit.

They are looking for a childcare professional who has an enthusiasm for working with children. They require candidates with qualifications in childcare or equivalent and recognition of qualifications for working in ECCE at a minimum level.

Key Skills:

  •  An understanding of Aistear, Siolta
  •  Developing and planning a childcare curriculum
  • Observations and child development progression
  • Staff are expected to be to take further CPD training during the year and be willingness to continually develop skills
  • Good team worker essential and willing to be mentored if required.
  • Candidates must hold a minimum qualification is Level 5 in Childcare but preferably Level 6 or above. 
  • Willing to adapt to current COVID practices and enhanced cleaning schedules. 


Initial induction training will be in a one pod with other staff members before moving to pod longer term based on experience level and qualifications. Salary is competitive and on a scale based on qualifications. The position is immediate start dependent on notice period and Garda vetting. Job Type: Full-time but also interested in part-time candidates.
